Congratulations To The Honorable Nancy Navarro on her victory in the District 4 Special Election for County Council from the African American Democratic Club of Montgomery County!
This is not just a victory for Council Member Navarro but a victory for all who recognize her independence, thoughtfulness and commitment to the people of the 4th Councilmanic District and all of Montgomery County, Maryland.
Join us along with other Montgomery County Democrats for the June 3rd Swearing-In Ceremony for the newly elected, Honorable Nancy Navarro, 4th District of Montgomery County.
We look forward to a continued relationship as she begins her tenure on the Montgomery County Council.
The mission of the African American Democratic Club is to promote the Democratic Party's objectives by increasing active and informed participation of African Americans in Montgomery County and by encouraging African Americans to seek active roles in elected and appointive positions. (more...)

Ike Leggett Honored at Pre-Inaugural ReceptionIsiah "Ike" Leggett celebrated his victory as the first African American to be elected Montgomery County Executive with hundreds of supporters at a Pre-Inaugural Reception held in his honor on December 3, 2006, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Rockville. Hosted by the African American Democratic Club of Montgomery County (AADCMC), the reception featured a presentation to Ike's wife, Catherine, live entertainment, and recognition of numerous community, business and political leaders. Leggett, who served 16 years on the County Council, promised to make the community "proud of my leadership." View more pictures of this event
